MISSION

Greater Buffalo Friends of Music provides collaborative, creative, financial,
and logistical support for music enrichment throughout the Western New York region.

For the past several seasons, GBFOM has collaborated  with more than thirty area choral groups to produce a comprehensive WNY Choral Events Calendar.

Our GBFOM Board  honors and celebrates musicians who began their careers in
WNY and have
continue to make

their mark elsewhere and the many outstanding musicians who currently call
the Niagara Frontier their home.

NEW! YOUNG MUSICIANS

High school and college students are encouraged to 

to check out the Young Musicians page for a special invitation to join a choral ensemble, to enter a chance to win
$100 by attending a WNY choral concert, and to apply for scholarship opportunities.

ABOUT GBFOM

Since its inception in 2016, GBFOM has offered financial, artistic and logistical support to hundreds of concerts in the Greater Buffalo area. Our emphasis is on collaboration – bringing multiple performance groups together on common ground, with a special concentration on promoting choral music and encouraging young musicians.
